કૈલાશ મંદિર 

ઇલોરા સ્થિત કૈલાશ ગુફા - કૈલાશ મંદિર એ  રાષ્ટ્રકૂટો  વંશના રાજાઓ બનાવ્યું છે

સંભાજી નગર ,મહારાષ્ટ્ર

બદમીના આ પશ્ચિમ રાષ્ટ્રકૂટોએ ગુજરાત પર સુવ્યવસ્થિત રાજ્ય કર્યું હતું

ગુજરાતના ઇતિહાસમાં પણ ઇલોરાના કૈલાશ મંદિરનો ઉલ્લેખ થયો છે

કર્ણદેવ વાઘેલાની પત્ની અને પુત્રી ખીલજીના સૈન્યના હાથે પકડાય છે 

આ વખતે ખીલજીનું સૈન્ય ઇલોરનું કૈલાશ મંદિર અને ઇલોરની ગુફાઓ જોઈને બહાર નીકળતું હતું

આ મસ્ટરપીસ શિલ્પ સ્થાપત્યની વિગતે વાત રાષ્ટ્રફૂટ વંશ વખતે કરવામાં આવવાની જ છે

પણ એટલું તો જરૂર કહીશ કે ----

પથ્થરના એક જ બ્લોકમાંથી પહાડ કોતરીને આવું અદભુત મંદિર કોઈ ત્રીજી દુનિયાનો એલિયન તો નથી બનાવી ગયો ને
